Beating the rush

Usually, I wait until November to begin my holiday gift knitting and then I am knitting like a mad woman. I thought I would get a jump on the season by doing a little bit along the way. Coming directly from the Mason Dixon Ladies, I am working on a modern version of the Log Cabin blanket. I am using Brown Sheep & Co. Superwash wool. I will keep y'all posted with the color scheme. I am not much of wool fan, but after working with Cascade 22o, I think that I can handle wool. . .we'll see.

Coming Soon!

Although I haven't posted lately, I am knitting up as storm! I just finished my Noni workshop and it was ab fab! Nora Bellows is a very down to earth person. She lives in Crofton. She is a great teacher. Her husband and son would come with her and stay for like the first half-hour and then leave. Her son is a toddler and today he bounced around checking us (really the store--we were just in the way) until he met the mannequin and was dumbstruck. Looked like he was waiting for it to move or talk. It was funny.

All of this was to say. . .as soon as I felt it will be posted.

p.s. the tank top just needs to be seamed and it will also be a FO! woohoo!

Just a little something I whipped up . . .

Although this is not about knitting, I thought I would post the latest creation:

I needed a necklace for an outfit for Church and I had the beads sitting around forever. Not the best picture but what you have are chunky quartz with a purple/amber glow with purple and honey colored swarvosky crystal beads as accents.

I may need to bring them by one SnB night so that you can really see them.
