I approve this message

Yes, I voted today. And thankfully, I only had one of the opposition's people try to give me a flyer. . .I shook my head and gave him the "don't come near me glare," and he moved on. After one has voted. . .what else is there to say or do?

I was happy (and not so happy) to see the turnout at lunchtime. Happy, because I am just glad to see that people got out and voted. There is nothing more annoying than someone pontificating about the trouble with the U. S. when s/he did not even bother to vote for or against those making the policies! Not so happy because I had a one hour wait. I was told that this was actually a fairly light group. The morning voters were waiting for 2 hours! Hopefully, it was worth the wait.

I agree with k-knits--there needs to be some younger people volunteering. . .not because I am hating on the seniors. I appreciate the fact that we are being assisted by retirees--it's a win/win situation. However, I am concerned when 95-100% of the group is over 65. . .some of these workers could use a break or could use a younger person manning the machines to speed things along. Just one purly girl's opinion.

Go out and vote. Take a young person with you so that they can see democracy in action! And please. . .turn off your cell phones!!

My name is Purly Wisdom and I approve this message! ;)
